How long does the DNS change take?

Made the DNS changes at your domain registrar, but RedirHub isn’t detecting it yet?

It can take up to 24 hours for DNS changes to propagate across the internet.

Here are three steps you can take:

  • Check the changes using a DNS propagation checker: Verify if the changes are propagating correctly with a tool like WhatsMyDNS.
  • Refresh the DNS status in RedirHub: Click the ‘refresh’ icon next to the required DNS change in RedirHub to force a DNS re-check.
  • Be patient: If you’ve done the first two steps, then sit back, relax, maybe enjoy a pizza or a cup of tea, and wait for the changes to take effect.
